Fritz, Director Emeritus International Press Institute (IPI), 16 renowned journalists and mediaexperts, such as Simon Li, former assisteant managing editor of the „Los Angeles Times“ or Roberto Savia, founder and chairman of Inter Press Service (IPS) were invited, to nominat one book, which is under consideration of the UN-HumanRightsCharter is to see „eminently precious“. This book must be available in english or in german language.
From this nominations a jury of six austrian journalists elected the award-winner.
